Durhamstown Castle

Durhamstown is a Norman Castle that has continuously been inhabited since the 1420's. Making it one of the oldest continuously resided-in buildings in Ireland! The original vaulted rooms are intact with 600 year old plaster still there. (More information | Map Location)

Durhamstown Castle is only 45 minutes from Dublin Airport (DUB). But the surrounding area (Meath County) is quite rural with many historic sites and lovely walks. With the nearby town of Navan, ready to provide some local color in the way of restaurants, pubs with live music, and art.
